Mari y Papi Gallo is a passion project I have worked on throughout the years as a concept for a children’s book or game. It celebrates the story of a rambunctious kitten and an old-timer rooster while exploring the complex themes of growing up. Set in Havana, Cuba, exploring these characters has been my way of reconnecting with my culture as a Hispanic woman.
